Editing my review… Alain from Tricon reached out to me. We came to an outstanding agreement that works with my budget. I am very grateful for Alain reaching out to me, to not only discuss my below concern, but he was very committed to finding a resolution while ensuring the happiness of my residency. I am very pleased with my resolution and decision to rent from Tricon. Thank you Alain for turning my frown upside down. You deserve 5 stars! My lease begun May of last year and I have enjoyed my home and the service I have received thus far. I gave Tricon 3 stars because I received a request to renew my lease and was shocked to see my rent would go up by $100. I am really disappointed as I expected to be a long term resident. A$1200 increase per year seems pretty ridiculous to me, but I guess this is the difference when you go with a national company vs the local guy. To increase rent by almost 6% is crazy, employers don’t even give 6% percent raises or cost of living raises. I am so disappointed after being so pleased with Tricon.
*Update: A Tricon corporate representative called a hour within this review and virtually fixed my account immediately. The representative Janet was extremely apologetic and very pleasant she communicated via email through each step.. She left me with contact if I ever have future issues… That’s was definitely a A+ experience. I am thankful. Customer service is very bad.. I’ve been in my home 7 yrs.. I’ve never had service issues prior to Tricon taking over…. Friday I was suppose to get a call back and did not, Saturday I was suppose to get a call Monday and have not. Meanwhile They’ve added $75 for insurance when my renters policy is 7 years old and they were sent the update with them as 3rd party 3 times. Today I emailed the “account manager” and called and was on hold 30 minutes, then answering machine came on to leave a message. So I’m forced to pay for something that is not needed because you cannot change their payment amount when making a payment..
